2 Day Workshop
“Everything Encaustic”- Saturday February 22nd- Sunday February 23rd 2025

Encaustic painting is the process of painting with hot pigmented beeswax. This technique is ancient, but has become increasingly popular with modern artists of today. Come delve into the versatility of this fascinating medium that invites you to experiment!
Participants will learn about encaustic history, safety, surfaces, and fusing. In this comprehensive 2-day workshop we will be exploring a variety of techniques such as incising, layering, pigment sticks, mark-making, mixed media collage, mono-printing, and incorporating photos. Designed for beginners and advanced, we will work together to focus on taking your encaustic creativities to a new level!
Shelley Jean is an Arts Educator with over 30 years experience. She currently teaches at the Suntan Art Center, Island Art Association as well as her home Studio, Secret Place Studio. She s the President of the Florida Chapter of International Encaustic Artists and is an Artist Instructor for R&F Paints.
